Greeting Everyone,
Many of you remember our mare Rose, in fact some of you have ridden her in the past. We are proud to announce that she gave birth to a beautiful little filly on April 20th! Rose was bred last year with a Quarter horse from the Guadalupe Valley owned by our veteranerian and friend, Pepe Banuelos. Since this is the first foal to be born on the ranch we decided to name her Bellota!
Bellota is nursing and exploring her surroundings. She’s already running around and kicks up her heels. Rose has turned out to be a wonderful mom and is always watching diligently over her new baby. We are very pleased, especially with Rose, now in her 20’s. Her last foal was 14 years ago. She has provided many years of good service and after having her in full retirement these past 2 years, to produce such a beautiful baby, we couldn’t ask for anything more!
On another note, we have schedule another long ride to the Pine forest for June 6th to the 1
3th.
We wanted to let you know that there is the option of starting the ride on Wednesday the 10th if it looks like the 6th would not work out for you. If anyone is interested in this please email me and I’ll be happy to go over the details with you. We will be staying at different ranches each night and riding the scenic trails during the day. The views will be spectacular and once again, another exciting adventure on horseback!
Lastly, we are letting everyone know that because of the economy in the U.S. and bad publicity about Baja we are lowering the minimum amount of participants per group to four. This will hopefully make it easier for riders who still want to come and enjoy the trails at Rancho La Bellota.
We hope to see you soon!
Raul, Caroline and Ricky
