In search of good working ranch horses, we have traveled to different ranches, met many cowboys and ranchers, and have established a good working relationship with them.   At Rancho La Bellota we have developed a system in selecting our horses.
        Before buying a horse, it is brought to La Bellota and put into quarantine.  After that period,  we ride and work the horse on a daily basis to make sure it meets our standards before handing it over to our clients.
       These horses are Criollos, and have been raised on Northern Baja Ranches where the terrain is rough and broken.  Their footing abilities are incredibly well developed. They are working ranch horses and have been trained by working cowboys in all areas from trail riding to cattle work.   
        We always have a good stock of horses for those who want to ride at La Bellota or for those interested in buying a good Baja Horse.
